Subforums on forum index do not display properly

Im not sure if this is a bug or a feature request. However: since installing Vaultwiki, my wiki subforums, are no longer affected by the subforum manager. This means that while all my subforums on forum index are ordered neatly in 2 columns, my wiki subforums are listed one after each other. It seems that there either is a conflict with Sorky subforum manager, or that Vaultwiki is unaffected by it. Could you please see if this can be solved?

What does seem to be a bug is that the icons of the listed subforums overlap the subforum listed before. So the icon of subforum 2 does touch the text of subforum 1. The icon of subforum 3 does touch the text of subforum 2. Etc.

This is not a bug. Sorky only affects the default vBulletin forum bit templates. The wiki forum bit templates are not handled by the mod. You may have noticed the same issue for PT forum bits, if you have used that.

The only ways to get around this are to modify the Sorky plugins or edit the wiki forumbit templates.

OK, but what about the bug, that is not related to Sorky?

This occurs when you have customized the default vB template used as a splitter (usually contains a comma). I suppose we should also use a wiki-specific one if we have wiki-specific forum bits, although it seems redundant for most setups, and there has not been precedence to do so set by any other mod, including the first-party PT mod.

Technically, using the Sorky mod is the same as using a custom style - all Sorky is doing is changing which templates are used. If we add a custom splitter template, there will still be an issue involving broken HTML where both regular and wiki forums are contained in the same parent forum. In these cases, you will have to edit the wiki forum-bit templates so that they use the same markup as the corresponding Sorky templates.

Can you be more specific about what needs to be changed in which template? I have no clue how Sorkys hack works.

I don't use it myself, so unfortunately I can't be very specific. Sorky will either come with its own templates, or it modifies the existing templates on the fly using replacements. If you can't find any templates associated with the mod, you should contact the author.

Once you know how it changes the forum-bit HTML, you can incorporate this as a template-modification to the vault_forumbit_* templates.

Added the separator template to vBulletin 3 in the next build (separators were deprecated in vBulletin 4).
