      Intermittent autolink pop-out details box missing

      vw 3.0.0 gold
      vb 3.8.5

      Right now, I have an example post exhibiting this issue. The post contains keywords (wiki article names) that get autolinked. However, all they are is linked (URL) -- no pop-out box with the description paragraph. Now, here is the weird thing. If I login as a member, I can see the pop-out box details. Log in as guest, and it's gone. For the exact same keyword/article name in the exact same thread but three posts up, it works fine as both a member or guest.

      I already tried rebuilding post cache, no change. This is not the first time this has happened. I know from prior experience, if I just edit the post and click save (re-touch the post), it will fix the issue. So, what would cause the auto-link to get as far as linking the article to the wiki, but not creating the div pop-out box?

      I just tested this out on one of my sites by logging out and clearing everything and the popbox works fine even with images, see here http://theforbiddentruth.net/showwik...hneur+Horowitz

      Just letting peg know its not a wiki wide issue.... and I run allot of modifications.

      This will happen if the Javascript is not loaded by the page. In certain cases, this was left out because it was not possible to determine if there would be a link ahead of time, and to save client-side resources it's not loaded for no reason. As far as I can tell, this is working by design, although if you notice any script errors in Firebug, those could be causing issues.

      Mine still work in the forum also, after logging out, and deleting my cache and history, are they not suppose to pop-up peg? I like them the way they are, with the pop-box working as is does.

      They are supposed to pop-up if the script is loaded onto the page. If "special_autolink.js" has not been loaded, then they shouldn't pop-up.

      I re-checked everything. I can duplicate the issue at will. It turns out, the problem seems to be with Chrome (using 6.0.447.0 dev), somehow. I cannot duplicate it in FireFox or IE. I hard refreshed (f5 and ctrl-f5), closed brower, re-opened, everything. I don't know what the deal is, but it seems the wiki is not at fault.

      It's a public page:
      http://www.bigmiketrading.com/journa...html#post47990

      The word "stop order" should be linked and pop-out. If you go back to page 29, you'll see it is linked properly. I still can't figure it out, but it seems to be a Chrome issue somehow.

      I'm sorry. I spoke too soon. I forgot to log out of IE and Firefox, lol!

      Ok, I can duplicate on Chrome, IE and Firefox. Guests when viewing page 30 do not see the pop-out. Now it seems to be a wiki issue again, and I am not crazy or losing my mind.

      Please test for yourself.

      Doesn't work as guest, but should. Works fine as member:
      http://www.bigmiketrading.com/journa...html#post47990

      Works as guest and member, exact same thread, exact same wiki article:
      http://www.bigmiketrading.com/journa...html#post47983

      So "Stop Order" is a redirect to "Stop Orders". Since the user is a guest, they are simply hard-redirected to "Stop Orders". This is to make life easier for spiders without singling them out and violating Google rules. After a hard-redirect the page is no longer an autolink request and outputs the requested page rather than a valid AJAX response. Thus, the Javascript doesn't know what to do with the data. A hard-redirect is not supposed to occur if we are already in a POST context, so something is wrong in there.

      Fixed for the next build. In vault/class/bbcode/redirect.php, find:
      Code:
      					$this->parser->registry->userinfo['userid'] == 0 AND
      Add after:
      Code:
      					$_SERVER['REQUEST_METHOD'] == 'GET' AND

      Well thats interesting, I do see what you mean. I have not noticed this behavior on any of my pop-boxes and I have the same word and in plurals or words many times over in singular & plural on the same thread and multiple threads. I cannot duplicate this, hummm. How did you highlight the contrib names?
