Permission for List link

A number of users have been complaining that replacing the Forum view is pointless when the List link still makes it available.

We should add a new forum-permission "Can view forum list?" that will take effect when a main page exists.
This will become obsolete in 3.1.0, but should make some people happy in the mean time.

So your saying we will totally be able to hide the forum view from members? ... and they will see no links to it?

I do have one question concerning this though... what will added namespaces lead to?... for example my Jiki wiki cards?.......since there is no integration in the nav dropdown and it doesn't show up on the Specials page, nor does it have its own wiki page with a list, and it doesn't have any , 'Create New Jiki Card' anywhere except the regular forum area using (new topic) hummm

If there is no 'Forum Link' defined (no List links), the permission is ignored and the forum list will be displayed anyway. This way you can still access the forum. This permission only works when you defined a main page for the forum.

Sounds good. I guess what I should ask is will there be a way to make my created new namespace have its own wiki page like the images list page or the main namespace page? or have it own Create a Jiki Card link in the NAVBAR... so the member never sees the Jiki Card vbforum??
