      Autolinking not working

      vb 3.8.5 vw 3.0.0 gold

I am still very early in my testing and rollout of the wiki. But, autolinking is not working. When I write a post with the words from an article in the default namespace, and I click Preview Post before submitting -- it is autolinked correctly in the preview. Then when I save the post, it is no longer autolinked.

Using "preview post" as my guide until post#1 is resolved, I have noticed that autolinking does not work on anything other than the top level forum, even though it's the same namespace. This is separate from post #1 so keep in mind. Auto-linking is a major reason I purchased VaultWiki. It seems the only way to use auto-linking would be to have every article reside in one single forum, which is really bad at least the way I am understanding it. I am fine with it being one namespace, but not one forum I don't think...ugh.

I am fine with extra forum resources (cpu/db cycles), I would rather have auto-linking work on all subforums not just the top level forum. I didn't want to create a new ticket, but keep in mind post #1 and this post are different. Can there be a php change or plug-in to do this? This is a priority for me, because I am trying to flesh-out and organize the wiki now and I would have to restructure everything depending on the answer (and might also have to bang head against wall some, depending on the answer).

Auto-links can be enabled/disabled on a per-content-type and per-forum basis. It's possible the preview is overlooking this and showing you the autolink incorrectly.

      1. Check Settings > Options > VaultWiki: General Settings to make sure that in addition to wiki pages, forum posts are selected.
      2. In the Forum Manager, check the forums where it's not working and make sure the VaultWiki setting "Automatically create relevant links" is turned on.
      3. Certain phrases are reserved and will not autolink ('ces', 'dol', numbers, HTML entities).

ValutWiki General settings is set correctly (forum posts in this case is checked). With regards to item #2, here are the settings and they look correct to me.

With regards to #3, understood. Can you also address my post #2 above.

Now, unless you say item number 2 (not to be confused with post #2, a separate issue) is wrong, then what is the next step? I am happy to do TeamViewer to expedite this, just PM or skype me again.

Regarding post #2, my understanding is that the installer automatically enabled auto-linking for all existing forums.

Yes, I think TeamViewer might help me figure out how to duplicate this issue. Tomorrow should be okay. For now, I'll be signing off.

This is a two-fold problem and I believe it only occurs on vBulletin 3.x. There is a plugin missing in 3.x that retrieves the wiki state for regular forum posts (autolink state). However, even if this plugin were present, there is another plugin (still unidentified) that is unintentionally populating the wiki state with an 'off' value.

Fixed for the next build. This only affected new installs of 3.0.0.

I have sent my ftp access login details to pegasus for diagnosing the issue.
However, it seems that he has already found it.

FYI, I have the same issue. Did a solution get released?

I also just cleaned The Article Post Cache & I am working with the same Namespace.

The solution did not get released yet. It requires multiple file and database changes, so it will be fixed by the next upgrade script.

Do you suggest that I stop building wiki's until this update is released? or will this new release rectify all the pages with the auto links not working?

Can you give me an estimated time of release?
