      Articles Added to Subcategories aren't Placed in Either Category
      Articles Added to Subcategories aren't Placed in Either Category

      I've been playing around with subcategories today (adding a category to another category) can come across an interesting bug.

      I've created the category Ships, and Boron Ships as a subcategory of it. Articles that I add both categories to, lost them from the list, even though in the article view they are both showing the two categories correctly.

      The categories in question and the articles that are but aren't part of them are here:

      Does the following edit work? In vault/functions/category.php, find:
      Code:
      	$hook_joins = "INNER JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "vault_article AS art ON (art.threadid = thread.threadid)";
      Replace with:
      Code:
      	$hook_joins = "LEFT JOIN " . TABLE_PREFIX . "vault_article AS art ON (art.threadid = thread.threadid)";
      If this edit works, then there is a problem with the article - you wouldn't be able to make it a book's chapter or set its language either.

      Nope, didn't work. I tried a couple of edits, and no success. I don't think it's article because I added the category to another article and still had no success.

      Can you add any uncategorized articles to any category since updating to RC 3?

      Seems not. One of the newest articles doesn't link back to the categories it's showing as part of in the article view.

      I think this might be related to the sub-category being multiple words long. I would be able to debug this further if I had file access. Please PM me if this is possible.

      This actually occurs whenever the article contains NOPARSE, CODE, PHP, HTML, TEMPLATE, or REDIRECT tags. None of the links in such an article are saved.

      Fixed in 3.0.5.
