      Few bugs after upgrade
      Edit/create doesn't work

      I renewed my license, received a PM saying it's been done, yet it doesn't show up in the system.

      Also

      I recently upgraded to 2.5.7 from 2.5.4 which has broken a few things.

      1) ?do=edit redirects to -do-edit. The same with create

      2) When quick editing an article I get "Please complete both the subject and message fields."

      Everything was working fine before the update. Thanks for helping.

      Edit: When deleting an article as admin I get "you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons: - Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system? - If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation."

      Whenever you purchase a Renewal, you have to Apply it in the Members Area. This is in case you purchase it earlier than you want to extend your time, or if you have multiple licenses so you can choose the one you want to use it on.

      1) Are you adding this manually, or is this from a link somewhere?

      2) Does this happen for every article, or just certain ones? If it's just certain ones, I'll need a text sample of the article's (unparsed) contents.

      3) Was the article already soft-deleted? What method are you using to delete the article? You should not see the "Delete" tab if you will get that message because they both use the same function for the permissions check.

      Thanks for the quick response as always pegasus. I've sent you a PM with the forum URL.

      I'm not adding anything manually, it's on new, pre-existing, and never deleted articles.

      Every article.

      Never soft deleted.

      I see the delete tab, but get the perm error.

      Since these issues are preventing you from using some of the wiki's basic functions, I recommend upgrading to 3 RC 2 to see if your issues have already been fixed. Because of some of the bugs in the 2.5.x series, 3, while being an RC, is a lot more stable. The bugs that are left (you can check the tracker) are relatively minor - a few missing images, and some forms that need better error messages. We have only really kept it labeled an RC because we have new features planned and don't want to call anything 'Gold' that doesn't have them.

      Upgrading now. Small suggestion, could you put a very obvious notice on the page that says this

      "This script will update your VaultWiki installation to version 3.0.0 RC 2

      Press the 'Next Step' button to proceed."

      I didn't realize it was going to attempt to alter the post table. In my case that is a 9 million row table and any edits typically take about half an hour to change. This change causes pretty severe downtime.

      Update complete. The CSS majorly messed up, and the rewrite rules had to be vastly changed. The 'More' tab pops up a blank thing but does nothing. The edit tab doesn't work at all, but the small [edit] does. Do you have any idea about the edit tab?

      Thanks for your help, the support here is great!

      If the CSS is majorly messed up, it means you either need to revert the templates or clear the browser cache. As was mentioned in the anouncement, the CSS was rewritten in this release.

      I have as mentioned, however the edit tab is still broken. It does absolutely nothing. The [edit] button does work fine however.

      Can you post a link to your wiki, or PM me one? Just want to make sure the right version of the tab script is loading.

      I sent you the URL the other day, but the message doesn't show up in the sent items list. I've resent it, but it still doesn't show up there.

      I have it. Is this only occurring in certain browsers? What browsers have you tried?

      I've only tested it in Firefox 3.5.9 at this time.

      In the mean time until I figure out the problem, you should be able to access the Edit tab directly by adding ?do=edit to the URL.

      Thats the odd bit, ?do=edit does not work. Strange, I just noticed do=create doesn't work either, however do=comments works, and the quick edit works.

      It looks like the URL query parameters aren't being passed to PHP (it works only in AJAX requests). I have seen this before as a bug in vBSEO. What version of vBSEO are you using? What are the full contents of your .htaccess file?

      Feel free to PM this or make the post private if this is information you don't feel comfortable making public. Please also note that anything between CODE tags can only be viewed by users with active licenses.

      vBSEO 3.3.2

      Code:
              url.rewrite-once = (
                      "^/forum/(sitemap.*\.(xml|txt)(\.gz)?)$" => "/forum/vbseo_sitemap/vbseo_getsitemap.php?sitemap=$1",
                      "^(/forum/(admincp|modcp|clientscript|cpstyles|images|customavatars|games|vault|cache)/.*)$" => "$1",
                      "^/forum/showwiki.php?title=(.*)$" => "/forum/wiki/$1",
                      "^/forum/wiki$" => "/forum/wiki/",
                      "^/forum/wiki/(.*)?$" => "/forum/showwiki_proxy.php",
                      "^(/favicon\.ico|/robots\.txt|.*clear\.gif)$" => "$1",

              )
