When NOT logged in, the Wiki dropdown does not work
When NOT logged in, the Wiki dropdown does not work

When visiting a created page as guest, the Wiki dropdown in the menu does not work
.Also the drop down next to the article title (to display all pages that are linking to the page) is not working.

When logged in, this works fine.

Looks like some kind of permission problem, but I cannot find it.

Yeah, this is a permissions issue. We fixed this a while ago on this site, but an issue was not created. Added a conditional to template vault_article_postbit as an extra precaution.

So how do I fix it permanently, or should I wait for the next release.
Or do I need to configure permissions differently ? I would not know which permission is wrong then.

No the issue here is that VaultWiki is trying to display the dropdown when the user does not have permission to view it. This results in an empty menu.

Because the bug is pervasive, this requires several file and template changes to fix. It is recommended to simply wait for the next release.

I have similar behavior now on 2.0.4, and I'm not sure if it's intended, but I'm going to guess it's not.

Seems that the menu will be shown empty (meaning, no phrases for the menu items are shown) If I don't have both "Can view Special pages?" and "Can view Special:Specialpages?" set to "Yes"

Oddly, the menu links work on the empty boxes, so, for example, I am able to create a new article on the namespace where I am at that moment, I just can't see the text on the menu.

The newly reported behavior is actually related to this issue: http://www.crackedeggstudios.com/pro...hp?issueid=237

It was fixed for the next build.

When can we expect to see version 2.1? You mention "middle of Sept"

      I can't wait

This "middle of Sept" date was changed in late August when we lost the CSS Manager we were writing. We are going to wrap up whatever features we're currently working on and just put a build out anyway. We can add the other features (the ones that still only say "Accepted" - and the docs) over time now that the architecture has been improved sufficiently enough.
