Accessing Image Namespace results in being logged out
      Escalated Issue

As per this thread, whenever I try to access an Image Namespace Wiki article (e.g., domain.com/wiki/Image:Filename.jpg), I am presented with an erroneous "no permissions" error and appear as logged out on the site, prompted to log in. However, accessing any other page shows me as being properly logged in. I can even access the Image Namespace forum, make a post to that forum, and even see the initial results of that post (and the Image namespace wiki article rendering properly). However, accessing it again shows me as logged out erroneously once more.

      I am using vBulletin 3.8.4 PL2, vBSEO 3.3.2, and VaultWiki 3.0.0 RC1.

This issue note was made as an issue.
Some added information: when I try to access a non-existent Image:Filename.jpg (e.g., Image:Nonexistent.jpg), I can see the standard "this page does not exist" notice from VaultWiki, but I also appear as logged out in the vBulletin Navbar. I am not sure if this will help track down where the bug or error is occurring, but I thought to pass it along.

Some more information -- I can actually successfully call the IMAGE using the IMAGE bbcode, but when trying to see the image Wiki page (Image:Imagename.ext), I get the no-permission/not-logged-in error. Very strange; it's almost as if the Image namespace handler is not operating properly.

As per this thread, this occurs because the server identifies the image URL as a static request. To conform with Google's best practices and reduce packet size, static requests are not transferred with cookies. Thus, the user appears to be logged out on an Image page.

This can be avoided by stripping the dot (.) character from Image URLs.

Fixed for the next build by adding the option to strip the dot character. Look for this setting under VaultWiki: Server Settings after upgrading.
