First, have you properly connected a forum to the default wiki namespace?

If not, first create your forum with the settings in the VaultWiki of the Forum Manager set to disabled for the setting: Enable wiki in this forum?

Then go to your AdminCP > VaultWiki > Namespace Manager and pick the Wiki Namespace to Edit. In that screen you have the option to set Top-Level Forum. This needs to be adjusted to reflect the forum you want to use for your main wiki articles.

Save that, and double check that VaultWiki has now linked the forum and the namespace together by checking the forum again in the Forum Manager, where the option Enable wiki in this forum? should now read Wiki.

If you've done this, have you enabled new posts within the forums you are using for your default namespaces? The option Forum is Open needs to be set to Yes.

If that is set, check the permissions your usergroup has to create threads/new articles within that forum (This is the Forum Permissions page). This is in the setting Can Post Threads under a usergroups permission for the forum.

Hope this helps in some way.

Mokonzi has described the long way to do it. I trust that if you got that far, you already connected a forum to the default namespace, because you would be getting a different error message if you didn't.

In AdminCP > VaultWiki > Namespace Manager, click the "[Forum]" link next to the Default namespace. Make sure that both of these are set to "Yes":
      • Act as Forum
      • Forum is Open

If you've used the Mod-Rewrite Generator, there's also a bug with one of the Rewrite Rules.

In your .htaccess file, find the line that includes:
      Code:
      showwiki.php [L,QSA]
If the full forum URL appears before it, reduce it to that code above.

See my post above. It's a problem with the .htaccess file. If you can post the rules the Mod-Rewrite Generator told you to add, I'll tell you what exact change you need to make.

The Rewrite Generator has been fixed in the current ZIP to avoid this issue in future downloads.
