New forums cannot be created while VaultWiki active

Errors and blank pages result

I was creating my Namespaces in vBulletin 3.8.4 PL2 and VaultWiki 3.0.0 RC1, and when I had the Namespace Manager "Create a new forum", after entering the details, a got a blank response from the Admin CP. Then when trying to access my main forum page, I got a blank white page. Disabling VaultWiki corrected this.

As it turned out, I am unable to edit/create forums while VaultWiki is active. I have to first disable VaultWiki before I create/edit any forums, or the whole system stalls out and I get a white/blank page.

Did your server report any errors when this occurred? This is quite odd.

I just created a new namespace here today without any problems.

None at all. I wonder if it's because I am on vBulletin 3.8.4 PL 2? I disabled VaultWiki, was able to make changes to my forums, re-enabled VaultWiki, and was able to proceed normally.

There is one big thing I am noticing -- any changes that I make on the Admin CP (with any feature that has a VaultWiki option), when I save them, I am presented with a blank page (not white, the standard Admin CP page layout, but with no content). The changes are made, but I am no longer receiving the typical vBulletin AdminCP confirmation dialogue boxes and being forwarded to the right pages. Have you encountered this before?

Okay, so I just tried this on my 3.8.4 PL 2 test board, and everything is still working normally. I have only ever seen a blank page after saving if I take too long to edit a template and it makes me log in before it saves it. Yesterday, I saw this happen when DISABLE_HOOKS is set in config.php and only if it was a VaultWiki admin page.

It's possible that an error is occurring, but your server is suppressing it. If you could add the following code at the top of an admincp file where this occurs, it might make it easier to diagnose:

Strangely, no errors were being produced. Furthermore, this error does not seem to be occurring any longer, and I am given confirmation dialogue boxes. It's definitely very strange, and I wonder what caused it. Should we just ignore this for now?

This issue note was made as an issue.

Sounds good. I've moved on to NuWiki Importer errors, if you can check those out.
