      Clean URLs for Wiki Titles
      Using /wiki/wiki_article_name

One of the most powerful features of MediaWiki is that users can simply type in the name of an article right into the URL (e.g., en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Article Name Here), and it directly points to the pre-existing article or prompts the creation of a new article. Can VaultWiki be empowered to have these sorts of Clean URLs, rather than the egg.php?title=Name+and+such ?

Not a bad idea. We will try to get this in for the stable release.

      Easilly found, just try this:

      http://www.crackedeggstudios.com/vau...+Any+Text+Here

and that works fine. (Obviously don't actually create the page as this is a working site and he wont want it filled with testing pages)

Haha, until we disable it here, this should be that way: [vault=Main Page]The Vault[/vault] This feature isn't exactly complete yet because it causes some problems with AJAX urls (vBulletin has them hardcoded as relative, so they break).

      Another thing to consider:

Spaces are often converted by browsers into %20, but other browsers will convert them into Underlines; legacy browsers will handle spaces and special characters poorly, so they should be converted to ASCII codes using server-side conversion.

Wiki URLs are all urlencoded server-side. As far as I can tell spaces in the URL will function as intended. If you type an underscore on the other hand will function as an underscore. So far other special characters seem to work correctly with the exception of ], [, <, > when entered in the article creation form. In the address bar, they appear to work correctly. In the case of the article creation form vBulletin may parse these characters BB-Code or HTML when entered, depending on your forum's settings, so the poster would have to use their ASCII codes manually in this situation.
