Correct Files in 3.0.0 Beta 2?
Correct Files in 3.0.0 Beta 2?

When going through the install process, I get a complaint that the files aren't the correct files for beta 2, even when I've reuploaded them.

If I proceed anyway, it completes the install, but then I get an issue with accessing the main wiki page, I get this error in Firefox (similar in Opera and a neverending load in IE8):

      The page isn't redirecting properly

Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.
Is this me, or is it a file issue?

This is probably an .htaccess issue. Please post your .htaccess contents for review.

Are you using Simple URLs or no?

By looking at the code, I can only see the "install" message you had happening if you already had 3.0.0 Beta 1 installed at the time, and it got to the step to upgrade vB4 Support for Premium Content (I have fixed this in the current ZIP).

That said, I suspect you had a different message because it sounds like you attempted a fresh install.

I'll try the new zip again a little later on when I have some time, but the process was an upgrade from beta 1, and I did have Premium content before I installed 3.0.0.

Does installing 3.0.0 mean that I'd need to manually remove the old products for XPages, Images, Categories, etc?

Edit: I do have Simple URLs running.

Redownloaded everything, and this is the error as I get it trying to reupgrade it:

Your VaultWiki Premium Content vB4 Support (3.0.0 Beta 1) does not appear to be running the version that was downloaded (3.0.0 Beta 2).

This generally means your upgrade was not successful. Please ensure that you have uploaded the latest files and click here to try again.

If you are sure you wish to continue with this part of the upgrade, click here
The next section of the upgrade that would continue is step 1 of the finalupgrade.php file.

Please download and replace the file vault/install/upgrade.php again, run it (you can do this without rolling back anything), and let me know if the same thing happens.

You shouldn't have to uninstall the addons (Categories, XPages, etc). The version 3 upgrade should do this automatically.

Also post your .htaccess contents so I can see where the redirect problem is.

I posted the htaccess in private mode, as it contains IPs.

The htaccess is in the forum subdirectory I use, but there is none on top level. I've tried the latest upgrade, and it runs through the whole process without issue now, but I still get the perpetual redirection on showwiki.php.

I've even reuploaded the showwiki.php file to see if that fixes it, but no luck.

Please follow the instructions in Configuring .htaccess if you are using Simple URLs.
