      Error message

      When I try to install Vault Wiki, I get the following error message :

      HTML Code:
      Failed to Meet Minimum Requirements
      The Zend Opcache configuration directive opcache.fast_shutdown is currently enabled by php.ini (default: disabled).
      This directive has known bugs that affect the reliability of communication between web server processes, which has been documented to trigger failures in VaultWiki's installation process. This directive must be disabled to continue. Due to the properties of opcache.fast_shutdown, it may only be possible to disable via the master php.ini file for your server.
      I don't know what if I have to enable or disable Zend Opcache. I don't even know how to enable/disable it.

      I really hope you can help you Asap so that I can use Vault Wiki.

      My web hosting staff managed to help me, but now I'm having an issue with this :

      Moderator Group
      Choose the user group that will be used for wiki moderators.

      Users can be granted moderator privileges in the wiki by using permissions from a group you specify. Wiki moderators are automatically added to and removed from this group by the wiki. The permissions of the group will only apply in wiki areas that the user has been allowed to moderate. Do NOT select a usergroup that is already used as a primary usergroup -- you risk permissions escalation or locked accounts whenever moderators are added/dropped from the group automatically.
      <span style="color: #f00">The selected user group is not usable for this purpose.</span>
      Moderator Group
      Choose the user group that will be used for wiki moderators.
      When I select "Wiki Moderators (default) it does not work and I have to select one of the usergroup from the dropdown menu...

      But I'm afraid to make a mistake, should I select Moderator ? I created a Wiki Moderator but even after updating this does not appear in the list, and I don't know which right I should give to this Wiki Moderator role....

      Hope you can help me with this issue. Thanks

      You should always create a new usergroup for this, like "Wiki moderators (default)". As it says, do NOT select another existing usergroup.

      If you cannot get the installer to accept your choice, and the installer just reloads this screen, we can investigate the problem and complete the installation for you, if you file a ticket here: https://www.vaultwiki.org/members/?do=newticket
      Otherwise, we will try to reproduce your problem but that can be touch and go if you aren't receiving an obvious error message.

      Hello again, I finally selected "moderator" usergroup and I could finish the installation but I wanted to know if it's possible to make a change about it.

      I mean, I used the "moderator" usergroup that was included with vBulletin.
      I suppose that it'd become a problem if a normal member have the moderator rights for Wiki Vault.

      Is it possible to duplicate the moderator right and change the name for the Vault Wiki's moderator username? I wanted to call it Vault Wiki Moderator instead of "Moderator".

      Also I'm afraid it's troublesome to have used a primary usergroup that was created by vBulletin.

      Thanks again for your precious help!

      Best regards,
      Eden

      After finishing the installation, I recommend creating another usergroup manually that will only be used for this like "Vault Wiki Moderator" as you suggest.

      You can change the value in the AdminCP > Settings > Options > VaultWiki: Miscellaneous > Usergroup for Wiki Moderators.
      After applying this change, you should wait a few minutes. Your existing wiki moderators are being moved to the new group.

      Then go to AdminCP > VaultWiki > Admin Panel > Permissions > Usergroups, and set the basic permissions that only your wiki moderators should have.

      Once you're done there, it should be a few minutes after changing the group by now. Since you had an existing "Moderator" group selected before, you will need to double-check your users who originally had regular "Moderator" as a secondary group in case you need to add it back (that's why there's a warning on this setting). I think most forums use "Moderator" as a primary group though.

      You should never manually add users to the "Vault Wiki Moderator" group. You will only use AdminCP > VaultWiki > Admin Panel > Permissions > Moderators for that.

      Since I installed Vault wiki, in addition to the issue mentioned, I don't have access to Articles and Blogs from the menu, nothing happens when I click on them. Not that I really use them (I'd prefer to use Vault Wiki instead) but I'm wondering if it's not compatible with Vault Wiki.
      Also, I'd like to know how to hide them, if I can't use Articles and Blogs anymore.

      If it's not normal, what do you think happened?

      That is not normal (we have Articles and Blogs working on this site).

      Are Articles and Blogs handled through dbSEO, or do you have a unique .htaccess rule just for them? If everything is configured correctly, those URLs should just be passed on to dbseo.php. Assuming your other dbSEO-handled URLs are working properly, then I would think these should too.

      You mentioned you modified vault/config.php. Did you change the references to vbseo.php in it to dbseo.php? Since you use dbSEO and not vBSEO, then it should reference dbseo.php

      I'm not sure what do you mean buy that. So far, the Artiles and Blogs always worked fine, and I had the vBseo plugin on for a long time since I was offered a lifetime license a few years ago.

      It's strange because only the Articles and Blods don't work, the other menu work.
      I did install them though.

      I have no clue about what happaned.

      Also, as I told you, since I couldn't add a new usergroup, I selected Moderator's one. But It seems it is not good and I'm wondering if it's possible to modify it afterward.

      I could create an share a username and password (Admin) so that you take a look at my forum (it's still under construction). I could reinstall vbulletin if you advice me to.

      Please let me know what should I do.

      I forgot to reply to your message about the vault/config.php file. Actually, I didn't change that file because when I checked the line to change, it already included the vbseo sentence, so I thought I didn't have to change anything but I'm probably wrong because there is no reason to leave the vbseo line for those who don't have it.

      Yes, I'm sure I saw the exact same sentence you asked me to replace, so I didn't know where I should put it except where it was written.

      I just checked and in your manual, it says :
      If you have vBulletin forum software installed and also have the modification vBSEO installed, find the line that starts:
      Code:
      define('VW_DEFAULT_SCRIPT'

      Change the entire line to:
      Code:
      define('VW_DEFAULT_SCRIPT', 'vbseo.php');

      Once you are satisfied with the changes, save them and upload the updated file to your web server.
      So I opened the config.php file and noticed that the line I had to change was already modified. If not, I misunderstood the tutorial...

      /**
      * You can modify the default script here. The default script is the PHP file
      * VaultWiki should try if the incoming URL is not a wiki page.
      */

      if (file_exists('vbseo.php'))
      {
      /**
      * Use vBSEO as the default script:
      */

      define('VW_DEFAULT_SCRIPT', 'vbseo.php');
      }
      else if (file_exists('content.php'))
      {
      /**
      * Use the CMS as the default script:
      */

      define('VW_DEFAULT_SCRIPT', 'content.php');
      }
      else
      {
      /**
      * Use the forum as the default script:
      */

      define('VW_DEFAULT_SCRIPT', 'forum.php');
      }

      define('VW_REDIRECT_URL', '/' . VW_DEFAULT_SCRIPT);

      Please follow my instructions in the earlier post about how to change the moderator group afterwards:

      You seem to be confused about which SEO product you are using. You said you are using vBSEO, but I visited your site and the evidence there suggests you are actually using DBSEO. So you need to edit vault/config.php. Find all:
      Code:
      vbseo.php
      Replace all with:
      Code:
      dbseo.php
      This will most likely fix the problems with some of your links.

      I changed everything as you said, but the blogs and articles still don't appear when I click on them. Am I missing something?
      Should I reinstall vbulletin? As you have visited my site, you know that I started from scratch, so I don't mind doing it again if necessary.

      I have reproduced the problem with not being able to create a new usergroup during installation. It occurs only under vBulletin and XenForo 1.x platforms, ever since the installer improvements added in VaultWiki 4.1.0 Alpha 1.

      This will be fixed for new installations in the next patch, since it results in the administrator being forced to choose something that can trash the usergroups of affected users (moderator group being auto add/drop depending on context). While for small forums, it may be possible to correct the user's groups manually, for forums with large numbers of users, this can be a devastating data loss.

      This resolves the OP, so this report is marked as Fixed.
