There is a setting that controls the maximum number of characters permitted in a wiki page:
Options > VaultWiki: Content Types > Maximum Characters in Page Content
It is possible to circumvent this limit by using templates, but only to an extent. If you have a page that exceeds these limitations, you have a number of choices:
Shorten the content, including possibly using simpler templates for specific use cases; OR
Split the page into multiple pages (like using a book); OR
Increase the value of the Maximum Characters setting (the limit would need to be at least 1/3 of the number shown in the error message). Your server will only be able to handle so much before you notice long pages loading slowly or running out of resources. You will need to find a sweet spot. If you get a long page loading slowly, you should increase the server resources available to PHP (CPU, memory) without reducing the number of PHP/web server connections, and without reducing the resources to other processes; this usually means upgrading your server; if you cannot reallocate resources like this, you must pick a lower maximum and use one of the previous choices. Leaving the maximum too high without proper resources leaves your server vulnerable to denial of service attacks.
Ideally you would pick one of the first two options, but it is understandable that this may not be possible for certain types of content.
