Fixed in the next release. This was occurring due to trying to highlight words using too many characters at once.
When comparing revisions we made some optimizations:
- Generate segments from lines first. Before we were generating segments by comparing words, then rebuilding lines.
- Only attempt word comparisons (and highlighting) on segments that are a -/+ combination (before, words were tested before combinations could be determined).
- Don't attempt word comparisons on segments with more than 10000 characters. If it is needed, in the future, we may change this to highlight batches of 10000 characters, if there is demand.
With these optimizations, the example you posted is able to finish comparing.
This was a major logic change. It is possible that compare results for other platforms were disrupted and could need tweaking.
