Fixed in the next release. This occurs when trying to generate a thumbnail of a JPG where XMP data is imported from another metadata source (such as EXIF) but none of the source fields map to supported XMP fields.

In vault/core/model/image/metadata/xmp/jpg/vw.php, find:

After it, add:

If you are getting an error message, it is probably a different message/trace.

If you made the above edit, it is impossible to receive the same message, unless you didn't save the edit, unless your pre-edit file is still in the Zend cache, or unless there is a bug in PHP itself.
