      Support for New "Old" [bd] Widget Framework Versions
      2.5 versions released after 2.6 incorrectly identify as 2.6

      I just installed Widget Framework at the suggestion of Themehouse. Each of the widgets I click on gives this message.

      Code:
      Admin Control Panel - NAWCC Message Board
      Server Error

      Declaration of vw_WidgetFramework_WidgetRenderer_v26::render() should be compatible with WidgetFramework_WidgetRenderer::render(array $widget, $positionCode, array $params, XenForo_Template_Abstract $template, &$output)

      I reviewed the latest WidgetFramework code and it looks like they changed the version ID format some time during the 2.5.x branch to use a different format than the 2.6.x branch had (version IDs went from 3-digits to 7-digits), making it possible that some 2.5.x versions have started identifying as being newer than 2.6.0. This is not really a bug in VaultWiki, as versions up until this change are identifying properly; this is more a feature request to add compatibility for newer WidgetFramework versions. If you need WF support now, I recommend using a version from the 2.6 branch, because that should still identify as 2.6.

      Widget Framework 2.6 has been out for almost 2 years. Not everyone has noticed because its only available through the developers site and not listed on xenforo.com
      There is no reason to still use WF 2.5. Its outdated and buggy.

      I uninstalled 2.5.9 but I cannot find any current references to Widget Framework or version 2.6. XFRocks is the developer, is he not?

      I fell like I am in a time warp since the XenForo is all new to me and some of it is 5 years old.
