ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS with symbol in page title

      Hello,

I have created a page titled "Gonzalo Rodríguez Gacha" which yields a redirect loop (I think because of the í) and is not accessible anymore after saving.

      Edith (Update):
This also happens with German umlauts (äöüß)

I cannot reproduce this issue on the demo site.

Please check the values of the following setting:
Home > Options > Censoring > Words to Censor
Censoring individual characters might cause issues like this. You should only censor complete words or phrases.

Double-check your PHP info and make sure the extension mbstring is present and enabled.

There are only words or phrases censored and mbstring is present and enabled.

Maybe IIS (instead of apache) is the issue?

I would need ticket access to your site in order to determine whether the problem is at the server level.

However, you can always double-check that IIS is configured for UTF-8 and that it is not setup to change any characters (such as í into i) in incoming URLs.

If it is changing certain characters in URLs and you cannot or do not wish to change those settings, you will want to add rules to VaultWiki that reflect what IIS is doing, by using the tools in AdminCP > Wiki > Languages > Replacement Manager.

This may or may not be related to an IIS bug: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...ent-to-iis-7.5
However, I have worked around this on your site and in the next release by using UNENCODED_URL when it is available, rather than checking REQUEST_URI first.

Thanks. Should I install this hotfix or is this fine with your workaround (and will be fine after updates due to u including the update in the next version)?

I don't know if the hotfix is compatible with your version of IIS or if it was even included in your version already. If the hotfix isn't applied and is compatible, it would not hurt to apply it. However, you should not need it anymore for VaultWiki to work correctly. The change will be included in future VaultWiki versions.
