You would not be able to search the database for non-ascii characters except in page titles. The page text is in a compressed format.
If you made a PHP script like:
Code:
if (!empty($_POST['test']))
{
$test_text = trim(strval($_POST['test']));
if (mb_check_encoding($test_text, 'ASCII'))
{
die('The text contains only ASCII characters.');
}
else
{
die('The text contains some non-ASCII characters.');
}
}
$form = '<html><head></head><body><form action="" method="post"><textarea name="test" cols="50" rows="20" style="display:block"></textarea><input type="submit" value="Test"></form></body></html>';
header('Content-Type: text/html');
header('Content-Length: ' . strlen($form));
echo $form;
exit;
It's a really basic form. You can copy and paste a large text in, and it will tell you if it contains any non-ASCII characters.
