Issue: Cannot upload attachment without title

VaultWiki gives an error but there is an issue with the CSS where the error text color is the same color as the overlay background. This is already fixed in the next release.

This can be further improved by auto-filling the title field (if it's empty or auto-filled) with the filename of the selected file-to-be-uploaded in browsers that expose that information, and by implementing automatic-validation of the title field.

However, AutoValidator support is a separate issue entirely and will not be addressed in the scope of this report.

Marked as fixed in the next release. If the title field is empty, it will be populated with the detected name of the source file. If the title field matches the name of the source file, then clearing the current source selection will also clear the title field. As far as I remember, this was the original intended design, which was not properly implemented.

Especially if all files must be uploaded to a single area that only supports a single prefix (i.e. a setup mimicking VaultWiki 3), then the user will not have to do anything other than select the source file to upload (unless another file with that name was already uploaded).

Yes, but then the user will see the error message to use a different title (it was same color as the background before, so it was unreadable). As I said, AutoValidator support (which would let the user know to use a different title sooner) is outside the scope of this report, as it's something we need to implement across the board. And automatic renaming when a title conflict is detected, another backend technique that could workaround any need to pay attention to the title field, is also something outside the scope of this report.
