Simplified Display of List of Wiki Terms
Sort Wiki Terms Alphabetically, and choose first letter of term for display

Check out this addon on XenForo, https://xenforo.com/community/resour...riterias.4939/

This adds a sorting system to memberlists to be able to sort by username.

Really want to be able to use a system like this to show wiki terms.

As usual, I am willing to put up a bounty for this feature to be implemented, paid out on implementation.

Categories are already alphabetically sorted by default, and provide jump-to links for each letter of the alphabet for which there are existing entries.

Additionally, you can already set Areas to sort alphabetically by default or manually using the sort tools at the bottom of the area's content list. It would be a simple task for us to add the alphabetic filter (to only show results for one letter) to the existing sort tools for areas, if that's what you're after.

If the existing sort functions do not work as expected, please let me know, as there might be a bug.

Yes, but this is not just about categories. It is about the main page and area's.
Content should be easier to find for our users. Most members do not understand the page and leave confused:
      - Users dont see that there is an article listing below the main area article.

What Dave is basically requesting seems to be:
      • setting to disable the article at the top of the listing for main page, area's, categories.
      • setting to show all articles on the main page.
      • Setting to show pagination or alphabet filter.

I would use the first option heavily.

There was a bug where the alphabet links on category lists were only showing letters that appeared on the current page of the list. In the next version, it will correctly show working links for all letters in the category, whether you are on page 1 or 72 of the list.

Can we revisit this request for the next version? I've been getting requests from my members for an easier way to browse the wiki terms. I simply want a list of terms, don't need any details (last updated on, updated by, etc), just a simple list of terms.

Often times it's my more experienced (older) members who just want to browse terms to look at and see if they can improve, or if they notice something we are missing.

Something as simple as alphabetic pagination and a 1 or 2 column list of terms. That's it.
