      bd Widget renderer for VW

Just like we were able to put a Vaultwiki widget on our vbulletin vbadvanced portal, I would like to have a Vaultwiki widget for bd widget system 2.6 on xenforo. This will allow us to advertise wiki articles on our home page.

bd widget system is one of the most widely used addons for XF.

VaultWiki already includes an integration with [bd] Widget Framework that lets you use any of VaultWiki's Sidebar Blocks as a [bd] widget. If this integration has stopped working in [bd] 2.6 please post a bug report. What isn't working? Is the widget type not offered when creating a new widget, or does the widget not appear even though you have already made one?

No Vaultwiki renderers are being offered when creating a widget.

A while back you noted that this was because you manually disabled the VaultWiki renderer in the source code: https://www.vaultwiki.org/threads/5880/
Please make sure this is still not the case.

I have just updated to [bd] Widget Framework 2.6.3 Beta 5 from your link and the "Wiki Sidebar Block" renderer is available and working properly. Please keep in mind that "Wiki Sidebar Block" widgets created in Widget Framework 2.5 or lower are not valid in 2.6 and need to be re-created.

I would like to have a latest wiki articles widget. And a popular/trending wiki articles widget. Is this possible?

We were able to add a 'latest wiki articles' widget for Vaultwiki 3 because VW3 used threads. We can no longer add such widget to our homepage in VW4.

      1. Create a new block using the wiki's Recent Activity block-type.
      2. Name it "Latest Articles".
      3. One of the options is to change what kind of activity it shows. Uncheck everything except "New Pages".

You now have a Latest Articles block.
      4. Choose that block when adding widgets to your home page.

Is there a cut-off time? Nothing appears in the block.
How do I remove the filters drop down? Its pointless to have a filter/selector with 1 choice.

When you created the widget from the block, it asks for a wiki page to use as the scope. Make sure you leave this blank, or it will only show Latest Articles that are children of that wiki page. If the wiki page can't have children, then the widget would be empty.

There is no cutoff. It will always show the 50 most recent results. If you scroll to the end, you can load another 50, and so on.

However, I have noticed that the option to change the activity filter doesn't have any effect on the initial loading of the widget (which completely cripples the ability to use it as a Latest Articles block for now, although that was the original intent). This bug appeared in 4.0.0 RC 5. Since 4.0.0 RC 5, it would always show ALL activity on initialization, regardless of the default filter. I have fixed this for the next release.

In the next release, I have also made it hide the filter selector if there is only 1 filter available.

Is it possible to put a snippet of a wiki article in a widget?
If not then please add this.
