From what I can tell, your original post was correct. The following bugs exist:
- When using the FILE BB-Code to insert an image into another wiki page, seeing that image in the other wiki page does not increase the view counter for the original image. The expectation is that if someone sees the image, the view count should increase.
- When downloading any wiki attachment, there is no downloads counter that increases.

There should be a view count and download count for the attachment overall, as well as each version of the attachment.
Similarly, there should be a separate view count for each edit of a page, so we can see how many views an edit had before the next change was made.

Today I have updated it so that views of edits and thumbnails, and downloads of attachments, old attachment versions, and thumbnails are now counted. It may not be possible for a user to see all of these numbers, but we will start keeping track.

For the next release, I would like to show the download counter as well as view/download counters for old versions/edits.

Fixed in the next release. There is now a working download counter for all edits of an attachment.
