There are at least 2 examples of XenForo admin pages with duplicate names:
- Home > Options > Attachments AND Applications > Attachments
- Home > Options > Appearance AND Appearance
Using the second example, we have a page for Options relating to Appearance, as well as a tab where you can actually modify the Appearance.
Likewise, in VaultWiki, there is Settings > Content Types (options relating to various types of content) and Structures > Content Types (where you can actually modify the content types). I can't really see a way to keep these names short and simple without having any similarities with the names of other admin pages. For now, the names are unchanged. Perhaps in the future when we have more/less total settings, the settings pages can be reorganized and we will end up with different names for them.
For 4.0.11, under the Wiki tab's admin navigation, I have added one shortcut link ("Settings") to a page that lists the various VaultWiki "Settings" pages. Again, this is a shortcut link. Clicking any of the settings groups on this page will jump to the tab that actually contains the settings (Home > Options) with a completely different side navigation set. This jarring navigation change is consistent with default XF behavior where Applications > Attachments > Attachment Options jumps to Home > Options > Attachments.
In early VaultWiki 4, these separate settings pages were created because some setting changes required data rebuilds that were easier to do on custom admin pages. Over the life of 4, however, we have migrated these rebuilds to deferred tasks, so the separate admin pages have become redundant. Unlike vBulletin's admin navigation, XenForo does not appear to provide a way to collapse navigation groups/menus. So if all the settings pages were individually linked from the sidebar, you would notice the admin navigation starts to get very long, which was the main reason why these shortcuts were omitted from XenForo.
The Styles, CSS, and Variables options you were familiar with from your vBulletin 3 installation have not been added. Those menu items were leftover from VaultWiki 3 and have been deprecated for some time; most people know to edit styles in the Style Manager/Appearance tab.
