On the upgrade from VW3 to VW4, on Step 8 (both auto and manual), I encounter the following Database error:
Code:

I tried modifying /vault/core/controller/install/db/create/route/vw.php to find:
Code:
'name' => 'vw_route',
and add after:
Code:
'engine' => 'MyISAM',
But this didn't seem to make a difference. Any other thoughts as to what might be going wrong here?
This happened during the original auto install when I had specified the path to the wiki-attachments directory. Is there a way to reset this install if it's broken?
Going by step numbers is meaningless in VaultWiki 4. Step numbers change all the time. Also since there is no direct upgrade from VW3 to VW4, I'm not sure whether you are using the installer, upgrading an old VW4 instance, or if you are using the VW3 importer.
You must post the complete contents of the progress window for us to know where the process stalled.
The database error above refers to a very generic query that occurs frequently in VW4. If there is a PHP backtrace to accompany the error, it would be very helpful.
If all else fails or you are not sure you can locate the additional information at this time, you may submit a request for Ticket Support service, so we can try it too and see what went wrong.
Thanks, Pegasus. I was using the installer (auto-installer first), and when Step 8 crashed with the DB error, running it again actually starts it out immediately at Step 8. The progress window now only consists of Step 8 and the database error which appears immediately beneath it.
I will submit a Ticket Support service request and provide you with administrative access so that you can re-assess. Thanks so much for your help!
I submitted ticket support, pegasus, but I'm not sure how to follow-up on my request (I'm not seeing the ticket appear on my Members Area). Please let me know where I can follow-up. Thanks!
I was able to track down the problem to a major bug in the search index handler for vBulletin 3, the bug appeared in VW 4.0.4. I corrected the error on your site and posted a new build here for others who have trouble. VaultWiki 4 is now installed on your site.
