VW3 showthread.php to VW4 (XF) redirection

How does VW3 to VW4 redirection work when it comes to showthread.php ?
XF already has redirection scripts for showthread.php
What happens when a user clicks on a showthread.php link that previously pointed to a wiki article? Is this redirected to the correct wiki article?

Links ending on &highlight=X+Y or &highlight=X do not forward yet.

It would be fine to mass remove all instances of &highlight=X+Y or &highlight=X

Which is why I tried to get this solution:

Forums are not redirected to area's. Example:
/forums/faq.314/page-2

This was a bug in the VW3 importer. It was not storing a map in the form of forum => target-wiki-content. However, it was possible to reconstruct this information from other maps it had logged. This is fixed in the importer in the next release. The next release will also generate the necessary maps for other users who were affected by this bug. Your site is already fixed.
