Permission are not setup in a logical way
If you consider the different types of users then there are 3 sets of permissions:
- End User permissions (view, edit, etc)
- Moderating permissions (approve, roll back, delete, move, etc)
- Administrative permissions (change copyright, etc)
Vaultwiki's usergroup permission interface should reflect this. Currently its set up on a content type basis, which only makes sense from a development point of view, but not so much from a admin point of view.
Each master permission category has a master toggle button. This is great, but only useful if the permissions underneath are indeed related and can all be set together. As all 3 types of permissions are mixed together, there are very few occasions when the master button is useful.
If end user permissions would be listed together then there would be a master button that would be useful for most end user type groups. But currently it always has moderator permissions in each group, so there is no way that the master toggle can be used for any usergroup but super moderators or admins. For all other cases its useless because oif the way permission groups are setup IMHO.
