Is the Edit tab missing, or are you trying to change the default text? The default text will always appear if the Edit tab is left empty. If you want different text, fill in the Edit tab.

On the other hand, if you want different default text, these are phrases in your forum's language system. Do a phrase search for some of the words you see in order to find them and edit them. Each kind of page (there are quite a few) uses different default text.

I want to edit that text or create text as I am making up these entries. If I add text in while creating it nothing happens. If I use edit I just see a blank page.

This suggests that the cache entry for the index is not updated when the index is modified. (The index gets stored in cache because it is viewed frequently). I will look into this and get back to you.

Okay, I am looking at your site and I think I'm not understanding the problem. I don't see anything wrong where I'm looking.

I am able to make edits to the wiki index. After it saves the page shows the updated content as expected. This implies to me that there is not a cache problem after all.

If I create a new page and type text for it... After it saves the page shows the entered content as expected.

The only thing I could think that you mean is that when an Area is new, you must go to the Edit tab to add text. But when you go to the Edit tab, it doesn't have it filled with the default text. I suppose we can add something like this to clarify the editor isn't broken.

If you mean something else, please clarify. Your screenshots in your other reports were very helpful.

I did notice this one as well and I don't feel either way about it but some may need to see that default text so they know they editing the right thing

Marking as Fixed in the next release. The default text will be automatically loaded to the editor if it is used.

Unfortunately after some QA, it turns out auto-filling the editor with the default text resulted in pages being created with unfilled default text that was not as good as the automatic text. This was due to users not actually changing the default text and hitting submit.

While it might be confusing for some, the current text does clearly tell users that it is placeholder text and they can add their own by clicking "Edit."

As such, this change has been reversed before release.

As I mentioned earlier, it is a language system phrase, and I think that's good enough. It appears when the page has no text of its own. When you view the page it clearly says "This page description was added automatically because the current page has no text content. Edit this page to add more relevant text." Thus when you go to the editor, it contains no text.

Ok I see what you mean now at first it seemed I could not edit this information but now I see I am able, so I must have been doing something wrong when I first tried
