      Renaming article creates a "ghost article"; Reverting history removes all thumbnails

      We've been using VaultWiki for quite a while and have noticed quite a few issues. I would love to find out that these are simple misconfigurations on my part.

      Pegasus, can you take a look at this thread and help me understand where the issues lie? http://geekhack.org/showthread.php?1...per-wiki/page3

      Any help would be greatly appreciated. (everyone is clamoring for MediaWiki and, frankly, I'd rather get the VW issues resolved)

      Re-ran the script. Does not seem to have fixed anything (although, it did not hang at all this time).

      Records of the attachments must still be in the database because you can click on the text ("attachment 3423") and the full version is displayed.

      If it's not updating, the thread/post record for the article may be claiming that the attachments are already attached, when in fact they aren't. This might happen if a user re-attached some of the broken attachments in the past. Before running the upgrade script, run:
      Code:
      UPDATE vault_list AS vlist
      INNER JOIN thread AS thread ON (thread.threadid = vlist.threadid)
      INNER JOIN post AS post ON (thread.firstpostid = post.postid AND thread.threadid = post.threadid)
      SET thread.attach = 0,
      post.attach = 0
      Note: This will break ALL attachments in your wiki. You may want to backup your DB before attempting this. If it still doesn't work, I will need FTP access on your forum to customize the script, since your issue might be further advanced than the variation we reproduced here.

      That did break and then fix attachments that were fine before. One thing I just noticed...It is only attachments/thumbnails in Island forums that seem to be having issues. (SEE HERE)

      Fixed on your site. Your Island articles were corrupt (they had no version history), which was making it impossible for VaultWiki to update the missing data. Islands that were modified after the corruption were able to be re-attached by the script. Unfortunately it's probably impossible to tell when the corruption occurred or what caused it at this point, so if there was an uncorrected flaw in recent versions of VaultWiki, it will likely remain for the time being. Either way, fixed the missing attachments on your site.

      Oops. One of the island forum articles was modified, put in the moderation queue, then approved. That broke the attachment thumbnails for that article again.

      More info. It appears only a MODERATED change breaks the attachments.

      Edit approval breaking pre-moderation attachments should be fixed now in 3.0.19 Build 002. Please patch your files, and you will have to run the aforementioned upgrade_3x3018.php script again to fix the affected attachments.
