Image Wiki Page names should not require extension
Extensions are incompatible on Cloud Platforms
I traced the problem with Image Page Permissions to a well-known issue afflicting most Cloud platforms (such as Amazon Cloud, The Cloud, Mosso, etc.), which is that their servers do not permit static file extensions (such as .jpg, .gif, .png, etc.) to be forwarded or rewritten by scripts due to security issues. This led to vBSEO rewriting a couple of my site rewrite rules to add a .att suffix to their custom rewrites of the original filename, since they could not handle standard file extensions in the URLs.
Image Wiki Page names -- pages appearing under the Image Namespace -- should not require the original file extension in order to be created (e.g., instead of Image:File.gif, they should allow Image:File). Is this, or another change to accommodate this behavior on Cloud Platforms, possible?
