Clicking username in "created by" & "last update by" just goes to member page

Hi,

Clicking on "created by" and "last updated by" at the bottom of pages simply goes to the member page with `?vwContribTargetId=X` added to the URL.

The page doesn't show anything special tho...

I'm guessing the `?vwContribTargetId=2101` is supposed to do something?

I was a bit expecting that I would see the edits or wiki contributions when clicking the links.

Am I missing something?

This page affects the links on the profile card that pops up on XenForo when you hover the username. It is working correctly on the demo wiki. On your popup card, do you not have a link "Contributions to this page"?

Yeah if I wait for the hover it shows the popup card, where I can see summary of the user and a button "contributions to this page"..

However, if I click the username (before hover triggers) I would expect it to show the "contributions to this page"-page where I can see the changes.. Now it goes to the actual user page...

By your description, this link is working as designed. The username itself links to the profile page of the user because that is how users expect it to work based on other username links throughout your forum. The "contributions to this page" link in the popup is the appropriate way to get the contributions of the user.

This design was arrived at from years of customer feedback after trying it both ways. If you wish for the link to go somewhere else, you are welcome to customize the templates vw_node_contribs and vw_node_contrib_notable manually by changing:

to something like:

your_special_contributions_path?userid={$user.user_id}&pageid={$item.pageid}
