Add-on is disabled, clicking on the gear icon and clicking on "Options" results in a white error page:

Since the admin links pointing to these options all disappear after the add-on is disabled, I'm assuming that the admin page containing the link had been loaded in another browser window prior to disabling the add-on.

This will be fixed in the next release. The bug had existed in all prior versions. Now, if the add-on is disabled and the link is known or accessed directly, admin options that had special rendering will not be rendered at all (missing from the list). Also, in this scenario, beware that when saving most VaultWiki options that are rendered, the new value will be accepted without checking for problems or causing rebuilds; this may result in problems after VaultWiki is enabled again, requiring manual changes/rebuilds, but would not be considered a bug.

No, the add-on was and is disabled since a few weeks. You can still access the options through the XF add-on list and clicking on the "gear" icon next to VW.

Ah, I forgot about that link. I'm not sure how I feel about its presence (or about add-on supplied options groups rendering without a "this add-on is disabled, enable it to change the options" message). It seems to be inconsistent with XenForo removing the options from the main Setup > Options page. Perhaps XenForo devs would consider it a bug, or perhaps they have a reason for the inconsistencies.

Yeah, that's what I thought, too. The link in Setup > Options is gone, but it's still present in the add-on list (and it even works without rendering a "this addon is disabled" page)... Are you gonna open a report for that on XF forums? If not I'd go ahead and do it.
