      /vault/ is missing from package

Am I the first person to try this package out? It will not install without the /vault/install/lib/ directories.

The 4.1.x series does not have a /vault folder. Under XenForo 1.x, everything is now contained in the /library folder. So this is by design.

Are you receiving an error message that something is missing? Is this an upgrade from 4.0.x or a fresh installation?

Since your site is producing a phrase message that doesn't actually correspond to the 4.1.x contents of the files that generate this error, it is possible that your PHP is still running 4.0.26 versions of the files that it has stored in memory.

If your site is using an opcode cache, such as PHP's built-in cache, and it has long-lived or no expiration, then you may need to restart PHP in order to pick up the changes to your file system. Otherwise PHP may continue run your 4.0.26 upgrade files, which do not represent any changes from 4.1.x, and which would load configs and files at a path which does not even contain 4.1.x files.

If this is what your setup requires, you MUST remember to perform this step whenever you make any changes to your site's software, or it can cause errors that don't make any sense, or damage your database.

I found the issue. The installer was pointing back to my live site. I am testing on my staging site.

The installer is now visible but stuck at 1%

Javascript errors? It's supposed to be able to catch server errors and display them (or at least change the indicator to an error icon), so it sounds more like a Javascript issue.

If this is a staging site, then you will want to make sure your CDN path is not set to the same location as your live site, or you could be loading/saving resources that are intended for the other site.
