Was this an upgrade from an XF 1.5 installation that had VaultWiki already? Or was VaultWiki first installed during XF 2.0?
Did you attempt to uninstall the previous VaultWiki installation using the add-on's uninstall option, or did you only delete the files?

It is not clear to me yet how you might have a XF1+VW classname mentioned if you have used only XF2 VaultWiki versions.

If you cannot wait for me to figure out how to reproduce this (which might take a long time), you may opt for a free ticket to correct your installation: https://www.vaultwiki.org/members/?do=tickets

To be honest, it's gone through a lot of iterations.

Originally it was vaultwiki installed on an XF 1.5 and then I upgraded it to a 2.0 and VW broke (and I pmed you about all that). There was later a problem with my site (the server it was on got hacked) and when I moved the installation I upgraded it to 2.1, but none of the old VW files were transferred over, it was all lost.

The only thing I have left is the database, because my host had a backup copy of it and provided it to me.

I have not done any uninstalls because it hasn't been any kind of option.

I'll start the free-ticket for correction, but anything I can provide to help you document the issue, let me know.

I have looked into your installation and it looks like:

      - At some point under XF 1.5, an uninstall was attempted. It removed most of the VaultWiki data, but failed to remove some things like existing settings.
      - When re-installing VaultWiki under XF 2.x, the existing settings were detected. Since they used the XF 1.5 format, they were not compatible. As both XenForo and VaultWiki thought this was a fresh installation, it could not handle this situation.

I have addressed this by disabling some validation when the installer generated the default values for certain settings. After this and some tweaks to ignore existing setting values while installing, I was able to get the installer to complete on your site. These changes will also be included in the installer in the next release.

Please keep an eye on the behavior of VaultWiki, not only because it is Alpha, but because more cleanup may still be required. We should try to keep this in mind when diagnosing any future problems that seem very strange.

That sounds about right, situation wise. I don't recall all the things I did in the past to try not lose the data of the site entirely, but I knew it was all messed up because of what the site went through.

Thank you for getting installed. I will be checking out out this evening to check on my data and check to see how it's working and will report any strangeness I encounter. I'll also make sure I keep this linked, so we have reference to any weirdness encountered so what was done here isn't forgotten.

      Appreciate all you do.

I should clarify that I did not encounter any VaultWiki data apart from the existing settings at the time. If your backup actually did include more complete VaultWiki data, we might need to import it from the backup.

I was just looking and about to ask you about that as I couldn't find any of my data. I'm glad you made a mental note of that.

Okay, let me go through my backup and see if it had my data. I will have to do that tonight once I am home from work and I'll post the results of looking for it.

      thanks

I think I have the database with the data in it...I'm not sure what db fields I am looking for.

      I found a:

      lock tables 'vw_defer'
with an 'insert into 'vw_defer' which looks like it has some of my data in it. but I can't seem to find all of it.
