Option to Remove Placeholder Text in Areas

I would really like to have a small feature that would improve browsing on my site:
An Area setting to Disable area article

Each area has one article. Below it, the area content is listed. On my site this article is a problem. We do not use it and its empty space that blocks the user from viewing the main content: the area listing. 85% of my users is on mobile which means they do not see the area listing. Currently our articles just state 'look below'. As articles have a minimum height this still occupies everything above the fold.

I'd love to be able to turn it off per area.
Google would be much happier with it as well, because it hides the main content which is a problem according to the quality rater guidelines.

On mobile there should not be a minimum height in 4.1.x due to this already-implemented suggestion: https://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/4810/

According to the description of the implementation, it works responsively. Below medium widths, the minimum height is eliminated, the contributor block collapses into a single line, and heights of some other things are reduced. Below the narrow width (which I can only achieve on mobile), a blank/placeholder article content will be hidden completely.

Marking this as a duplicate of the other issue. If you wish these changes to apply even when not on a mobile device, you can simply change the @media conditions on the related .less templates.

The issue is that an article is mandatory on content list pages that are not intended for articles. The main content is the content list. We should not be forced to have empty articles. Especially not on such important pages. It would be the same to force us to have a wiki article at the top of each forum.

While related, the issue is not a duplicate.

The "article" on content list pages is intended to use for the area description. Forums have a description field. The difference is that forums do not display placeholder text in the description block if you have not entered a description. We can certainly add a setting to control whether placeholder text appears or whether the block is allowed to remain empty and collapse.

Could you please add a setting to not display the block at all?

The block would not be displayed if the description is empty, except for the Likes Bar.
We will also remove the contributor section in this case, because it makes little sense to show that people have contributed to write no content.

Marked as Implemented. In Alpha 3, the following behavior occurs:
      - When most pages have no text content or show placeholder text, no contributors are displayed; however, attachment pages still show contributors responsible for the upload, regardless of whether text was entered.
      - Only show Views if contributors are being displayed.
      - When a container (areas, books, etc) has no text content, check the value of "Settings > Wiki: Aesthetics > Show Placeholder Text on Wiki Containers" before showing placeholder text.
      - The first block will not render if it follows these rules and ends up with no contents at all. However, other elements in that block, such as categories, likes/reactions, etc should be unaffected by the change and would still cause the block to render if they render. Keep in mind that there is no minimum height on these elements so that should not be an issue.

This combination is working well in my tests in XenForo 2. Since it did not require major template changes, it should also work well on other platforms.
