      'a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o' inserted into footnotes

If a footnote is used twice in the same article, then it is displayed as:
      ^ a b c d e f g h i j k l m n oLee, Peter. Culture. Rochester, VT: Park Street Press, 2006.

      'a b c d e f g h i j k l m n o' should not be there.

      In some instances it displays 'a b' or 'a b c' etc.

This is as designed. Each letter is a link back to each location that the footnote is used.

Please see the article linked in the ticket to see the issues with multiple instances in the reference list all with variations of this.

The behavior in the article linked appears to be consistent with the designed behavior. I do not see any "letter-links" back to a footnote that are for the wrong footnote or that exceed the number of references to the same footnote.

ok. I see. Can you see why the 4th reference has no text?

That footnote is never defined with any text. Do a search in the Source tab and you will see. There are two uses of a footnote named 'unodc'; however, a value for 'unodc' is never given.

Why doesn't the reference display 'unodc'?

You never defined what 'unodc' is. The closest guess is that you defined it to be an empty string. I suppose we can change the behavior so that an empty footnote will instead show the name of the footnote in the reference list. If anything, that would make it easier to figure out what footnote needs fixing (since the reference number would not persist on the Edit tab).

unodc is the U.N. organisation which is referenced to.
