This tends to happen because you have forgotten a setting in the import config file, or because of another user-error. Same as: https://www.vaultwiki.org/issues/4950/

You are right. I am just too used to standard xenforo importer behavior. Why have a config file anyway when the importer can ask for the details?

We don't like storing unencrypted logins in the database. We have a form-based importer with (finally) validation testing for 4.0.18, but it also creates a config file.
