Comes with every acess query. Even with access to non-wiki areas, or even if VW is disabled. Is this a normal behaviour?

Did you update to Patch Level 1 already? This is a kind of DDoS attack, but it is supposed to end after 60 seconds if you're already patched. Even though it's a denial of service attack, the IPs themselves are not to blame, so don't block them. Recently a deferred task initiated by your site failed and it keeps trying to reboot by different visitors. If you have RC 4 PL 1, it will give up after 60 seconds.

If the task failed recently, you should have some sort of fatal error or database error in your logs for wiki_ajax.php before the attack started. It is possible that it was a very long time ago (like in a previous version). If that's the case, you don't need to worry about it at this time.

Thanks, I thought it was ddos because a server becomed very sluggish. Upgrading to PL1 right now.

Depending on how long the attack was going, you might want to run this database query too:

Code:

DELETE FROM vw_permission WHERE applytypeid = 0

This will erase cache entries that were created during the attack. They are useless now and just take up memory.

Made some improvements for the next release. Now, during the 60 second window, the attack will be significantly weaker on vBulletin (and dead on XenForo).
