Is a better search system planned?

I recently found out that the search system doesn't necessarily search inside articles, which is very disappointing. It's what a search system is for. I'm wondering if there is a better search system planned, so it actually searches within articles? If so, when can we expect it?

The live-search in the sidebar is only able to show results by title in the drop-down, but if you press enter, it should perform a full search against both titles and the inside content.

If the full search results list isn't showing any matches from inside articles, then this is a bug. It should be doing that.

EDIT: When I go to the full results list here, it shows results that have the keyword within the text, not just titles.

Huh, I see. Then it's a bug. I get 'sorry no matches' page.

Just like to point out this is still a problem on my site. Any searching done would give "sorry - no matches..." if it isn't in the title

Fixed in the next release. There was an issue with the way VaultWiki communicated the contenttype flags used to designate searchability, thanks to vBulletin 4 using ENUM column types in a debatably incorrect manner.

Did you rebuild the search index for wiki pages and wiki comments since upgrading?

EDIT: There was an issue rebuilding the search index under some versions of MySQL that don't handle the BIT data-type as expected (I believe you had a similar issue before). The issue should be resolved on your install now. Please try rebuilding the search index again.
