My point is being missed. I sent a PM explaining my difficulty with even posting a new simple gallery. But the larger problem that may be related to this and everything else that was imported or edited, is as follows.
Just for example: If I have an existing article with something like the following and with a title and category all in caps as well
Code:
CHECK OUT THESE PICS
[IMAGE]SLD.JPG[/IMAGE]
[IMAGE]INL.JPG[/IMAGE]
and I turn on the "shouting rule" set to 3 - if I click on edit and save, without making any changes, everything in the article is changed to lowercase. The first letter of the title remains a cap. The first letter of the next line (CHECK) remains a cap. And the bracket at the beginning of the third line does not have cap/lowercase. That accounts for all 3 caps in the "shouting rule" settting. This must also have happened during the import when each page/article was "saved."
In the above example, all the image descriptions are changed to lower case (problematic???), as well as the title and category. (because more than 3 caps appear in each line) And turning the shouting rule off does not change it back, or even allow the created category to be changed back.
So I'm trying to explain that most of my issues may have to do with having the shouting rule on during import, because aren't all those pages being "edited" and saved? But in fact, even the simple saving without editing does the same thing.
In addition, this will apparently happen with any VaultWiki installation, to any page that is edited after someone would turn this 'rule' on. And to further complicate things, this 'rule' only works line my line. So an image on its own line with the description "DSC000045.JPG" would be changed. But it appears as if "dogwithspots.JPG" would not. (If rule is set to 3) So results and symptoms are inconsistent.
So could this be why I had so much trouble with my import, and with goofy stuff happening now? Of course I will keep the 'rule' off and probably try another import. I just want to understand and work out as many issues as I can before I so.
