To finish the week off, we've released VaultWiki 3.0.0 Beta 4. While we did not have a beta scheduled for this week, the combination of recently sponsored features and some beta-quality bugs have necessitated it. To our surprise, quite a lot made it into this iteration.
Social Group Pages
If your community has active social groups, you can allow a social group to create group-centric wiki pages. Only the group's members can edit the pages, and if they choose, a page can be made completely private so that non-members can't even read it.
Improved Special Page Registry
It's easier than ever to add your custom-coded Special pages to your wiki. Rather than having to write multiple code and worrying about whitespace-encoding, you can now pass your parameters into a simple registry function.
Improved Data Management
A Data Manager has been added for Page Protection to allow for integration of custom protection fields or other plugins. Article MetaData is also now better managed by the Revision Data Manager - valid fields can easily be registered there to avoid unnecessary database writes.
Other Changes
Beta 4 is full of bug fixes that enhance the stability of the product as a whole - most notably, a bug involving the WYSIWYG editor in vBulletin 4 that prevented articles from being saved, a completely broken MediaWiki importer, and the inability to create new forum headers in vBulletin 4.
