Some visitors may have noticed recently that the web site, as well as some other sites and services affiliated with our parent company Cracked Egg Studios, were offline from November 8 until November 14, 2025.
It's been about a week since, and we decided we should reassure everyone that there was no indication that the downtime was caused by any malicious activity. Rather, the site went down due to operating system updates on our server that failed in progress. After about a day attempting to repair the system, we were forced to reinstall and rebuild the server environment from scratch. This process took several days, but all services should be functioning normally again.
This event did not cause any loss of existing data, which is stored separately from the operating system; however, anyone attempting to send email messages to any of our domains from November 8 until November 13 may not have had their messages delivered successfully. If you believe that applies to you and you still need to reach your email recipients, please resubmit any messages that originated during this time period.
We continue to make minor updates to modernize the server environment and are actively considering other measures to reduce downtime in any future server event.
Since this downtime resulted in a loss of service to paying customers, we have extended licenses by an additional 7 days from the date of extension, for anyone with a timed license that was active during the affected period, even if that license expired between the downtime and the extension. That means that for any license that was active on November 8, 2025, the earliest day it will now expire is November 28, 2025, even if the license had already expired before today.
